Home Sweet Home Portraits

This project grew out of one very special painting of a now bulldozed cottage on the shores of Seattle’s Lake Union. Because this house held such warmth and spirit, for both me and everyone who had the grand opportunity to sit on it’s porch next to the old madrona tree, I felt it must be memorialized in some way. And since photos never quite did it justice, I put brush to canvas.  The goal was to capture its heart and soul, not just its architecture; and that has been the goal of every painting since.  So if you’re looking for that special rendering of either your family homestead or your own beloved home, Home Sweet Home is the place.  There is, after all, no place like...well you know the rest.
